1. Introduction
ATIGHLID LIMITED (“we”, “us”, “crearea”) operates crearea.app. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you use crearea.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), learning level (JHS, SHS or University), institution name (optional).
Usage data: notes content, flashcards, quiz results, study progress, AI credit usage, and session history.
Payment information: processed by Paystack. We do not store card numbers or Mobile Money details on our servers.
Device data: browser type, device type, IP address, and operating system, collected for security and performance purposes.
Files: documents and images you upload are stored on Cloudflare R2. We do not access your files except to deliver them to you.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve the crearea platform.
- Process payments via Paystack.
- Send account and service notifications via email (Resend).
- Generate AI powered content using your notes and prompts via Google Gemini. Your content is used only to generate your response and is not used to train AI models.
- Enforce subscription limits and credit balances.
- Detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
4. Data Storage and Security
User account data is stored in Google Firestore (Firebase). Files and media are stored on Cloudflare R2 with zero public egress. Authentication is managed by Firebase Authentication. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We do not sell your data to any third party.
5. AI and Your Content
When you use AI features in crearea, your prompts and relevant context are sent to Google Gemini. Google processes this data to generate a response. We do not use your personal notes or content to train AI models. Google's data handling is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You can request account deletion from your account settings. All data is permanently deleted within 30 days. To exercise any right, contact hello@crearea.app.
