Today we are announcing Crearea — the AI powered study companion designed from the ground up for JHS, SHS, and university students in Ghana. Here is the story of how it came to be.
We started with a simple observation: Ghanaian students are brilliant, but the tools available to help them study have not kept up. Students preparing for BECE and WASSCE rely on crowded classrooms, worn textbooks, and study methods that have not changed in decades. Meanwhile, students in other parts of the world have access to personalised AI tutors, instant feedback, and adaptive learning systems.
We thought: why not Ghana? Why cannot Ama in Kumasi or Kofi in Tamale have the same quality of learning support as any student anywhere else in the world?
Crearea knows the Ghana Education Service curriculum. It understands BECE and WASSCE marking schemes. It speaks in Ghanaian context. And it costs less than a data bundle per month — with a completely free tier that gives every student access to AI study tools with no credit card required.
We built Crearea for the student in the community school with no private tutoring. For the SHS final year student cramming for WASSCE at midnight. For the Level 300 student drowning in lecture notes.
Crearea offers AI powered summaries, flashcard generation, quiz creation, key point extraction, and guided question answering — all grounded in the GES curriculum. For university students, the Semester Planner helps you organise your academic year, track assignments, and stay on top of exam schedules.
Study Rooms let you collaborate with classmates in shared spaces with an AI assistant available to help the whole group. And everything starts free — no subscription required to begin.
We are just getting started. This is Crearea — built in Ghana, for Ghana.
